poster for Big Helium Dog (with Q&A) BIG HELIUM DOG - A FREE* event - followed by a Q and A with Producer/Co-Star Kevin Smith, Writer/Director Brian Lynch, and star Matt Kawczynski

In the late 90s, Kevin Smith (Clerks, Mallrats, The 4:30 Movie) and Scott Mosier (Chasing Amy, The Grinch) produced an independent sketch comedy. It was loaded with talent: Matt Kawczynski (Mancation, Exit Strategy), Lorene Scafaria (Seeking a Friend for the End of the World, Hustlers), Michael Linstroth (The Call, Riding in the Cars with Boys) were joined by Michael Ian Black (MTV’s The State, Wet Hot American Summer, Stella), Kevin Heffernan (Farva from Super Troopers, co-creator and star of Tacoma FD), Steve Lemme (Mac from Super Troopers, co-creator and star of Tacoma FD), Eric Stolhanske (Rabbit from Super Troopers), Brian Quinn (Impractical Jokers), Dicky Barrett (lead singer of The Mighty Mighty Bosstones), Gary "Baba Booey" Dell'Abate (The Howard Stern Show), Vincent Pereira (A Better Place), and Kevin Smith (you know who he is by now) and Scott Mosier (ditto). It was written and directed by Brian Lynch (who would go on to write the Minions and Secret Life of Pets movies). It was, quite frankly, too good. Everyone involved agreed that the world did not yet deserve such a perfectly crafted piece of entertainment.

The film was locked away in a remote location. All parties took a blood oath that it would not be shown such time that the planet was at its lowest point and people desperately needed to be entertained and uplifted. Flash Forward to 2024, and BIG HELIUM DOG is officially released out into the wild to cure what ails society. It's funny. It's weird. It's, sure, somewhat offensive. It has become the stuff of legend and NOW you can see it.

But wait, there's more. After the screening, Kevin Smith will be joined by writer/director Brian Lynch and star Matt Kawczynski for a Q and A, which will be filmed for the impending BLU-RAY/STREAMING RELEASE. Watch a part of film history! Be a part of film history! Also eat popcorn, get a soda, you deserve it. It's unrated, but honestly, it should be R, these kids say some dirty words. From the makers of BIG HELIUM DOG, it's BIG HELIUM DOG.
